FIBERGLASS SERIES
AUTOMATIC PARTICLE FILTERS

Fiberglass Series particle filters are designed for commercial applications where flow rates from 2.5 to 141 GPM are required.

We have several different types of particle filters available for sediment and suspended matter. They are capable of filtering particles to 10 microns in size. The multi-media filter uses a variety of different media types distinctly layered with the coarsest found on the top and the finest the bottom. This layering allows the larger particles are removed at the bottom. In this way, the suspended matter to be filtered doesn’t form a layer but is filtered throughout the entire bed. Advantages over conventional sand filters include longer service runs, lower pressure drop, less chance of turbidity leakage due to flow rate surges, and finer particle filtration.

Sand filters are used to remove sediment and suspended matter from water. They are capable of filtering particles to15-20 microns in size. Several different mesh sizes of sand and gravel are used in this media bed with the finest on top and the coarsest on bottom. The majority of filtration systems.

Filter-Ag filters are used primarily to remove suspended matter from water down 20-40 microns in size. Filter-Ag is structure characteristics. This allows effective filtration of suspended matter throughout the entire media bed at a low pressure drop. Because of its light weight, much lower backwash rates are required than for media particle filters.
The fiberglass series particle filters are designed using an epoxy fiberglass media tank rated at 150 psi operating pressure. A hub and lateral system is used on tanks to assure an even flow of water through the media bed during backwash. The design of these systems provides high performance and reliability as well as ease of installation, operation and maintenance.
